Our Car & Truck Arm Rest was invented by Pastor Butch Bruton, who's driven trucks and SUVs for most of his life. If it's not raining and the outside temperature is somewhere between 30 and 100 degrees, you just might see him cruising in his Ford Super Crew with the window down, resting his arm on the door panel.

But early in 2002, Pastor Butch decided there needed to be something done about the hard door panels making his elbow ache. He began bending sheet metal for an arm rest frame, gluing foam to the sheet metal, and covering the whole thing with upholstery fabric. The smartly designed 2005 Road-Rest is the grandchild of that original prototype.

The Road-Rest is a handsome addition to any vehicle interior. It's padded and finished with satin-smooth, water and stain resistant fabric. The Road-Rest is soft. It's large enough to rest your entire arm, and it stays in place.

There's no need to install one of those awkward looking vinyl arm rests. This one lays close to the door frame and contains a lot more padding. Unlike the vinyl rests, it remains cool to the touch.

The Road-Rest was designed for SUVs, vans and trucks, but it also fits most cars. (The arm rest will not fit doors with the new "sealed" glass. These doors have no space or indention between the glass and the door frame.) Before you order, make sure the top of your vehicle's door panel is parallel or lower than your shoulder. This insures a comfortable position.

Arm Rest Features:

Relieves the stress and strain caused by resting the elbow and arm on the surface of the hard door panel.

Can be used in vehicles with any size space between the window glass and door panel

Can be adjusted to provide a flat, comfortable arm cushion on door panels of varying thickness with enclosed strip of foam.

Can be used with the window up or down, but your arm or elbow should be kept on the Road-Rest with the window rolled down!

Can I use a Road-Rest in my car?

You can, and many customers do, but it's designed to fit trucks, vans and SUVs.

Is the Road-Rest permanently affixed to my vehicle?

No, the Road-Rest simply slips into the space between your window and the frame. It should fit quite snugly but can be removed anytime. Note... be careful using the Road-Rest with the window rolled down! Yes, it COULD fly out the door.

Can I use my Road-Rest on the passenger door?

Certainly! There's no right-or-left-side orientation; it fits either way. Kids LOVE these on long trips. It's a lot more comfortable than leaning your head on the hard (or cold) window!

Just a note to let you know that I had tried a couple of cheaper Wal-Mart foam arm rests that didn't hold up very well. Then I discovered Road Rest! What a great, quality made product!
